Spork babies

Okay, if you follow me on Twitter, you may have developed a sense recently of my new passion for Spock/Kirk slash fanfic, particularly from the Trek reboot film (2009).

Somewhere, some brilliant, benevolent and talented souls have put together a few photo manips to show us what beauty could result from a Spock/Kirk pairing (and don't whine about mpreg fics - you never know what can happen with that freaky Vulcan anatomy). In fact, their manips may have been driven more by Chris & Zachary (aka Pinto) shipperiness, but since I'm not willing to play with the lives of real people in that manner, Imma hide behind the characters here (and if there were imaginings in my head they would stay there).

I'm only too pleased to share the pics, because - DAMN.

Jacey Thursday: The Musical!

Most of my Jacey Thursday posts are pretty silly, but this one may take the cake. Entirely self-indulgent and inspired by the first picture in the post. Enjoy!

"When you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way
From your first cigarette to your last dyin' day..."

"Go man, go,
But not like a yo-yo schoolboy.
Just play it cool, boy, real cool!"

"Tonight there will be no morning star.
Tonight, tonight, I'll see my love tonight.
And for us, stars will stop where they are."

(Sorry about the girl - but it fit the lyric. Ignore her - look at his LIPS)

"There's a place for us,
Somewhere a place for us.
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us
Somewhere."

"When love comes so strong,
There is no right or wrong,
Your love is your life."

All lyrics are from West Side Story, words by Stephen Sondheim. Though I haven’t asked his permission to use them, I have a feeling he might approve. :)

Jacey Thursday: Random Use of Props

Ah, photoshoots. Sometimes I wonder if advertisers are actively seeking to confuse the consumer by playing "What are we selling?" and making the answer as obscure as possible.

Is this company actually selling tack? Or...wait...polo equipment?

This...I can't even begin to guess...dental tape?

This trophy says I'm the best male model of all time. OF ALL TIME!

This is...well...if they're selling guitars, or lounge chairs, or sweet, so-beautiful-you-make-me-cry boys...I'm pretty much buying. Fuck, I'll take two.

Jacey Thursday: Underpants!

In recent weeks we've covered pics where Jacey's modeling career brought him into close contact with horses, virginal white and some whackadoo clothing. This week, I think we should reward ourselves with pictures of the only thing Jacey should wear...ever: Gotchies. Briefs. Underoos. Drawers. Skivvies. Yes - it's time for UNDERPANTS.

Here are some fundies. They're quite splashy.

Those are fine. I do like the last pair a lot, and I appreciate the poses. Oh, so very much. :) But in general, I think for those who have the goods, as Jacey clearly does, it's really unnecessary to dress it up quite that much.

Nice. :) I know boxer briefs are supah-cool these days, and I like them; but I have to admit of being a fan of the tighty-whities....

...but this...dear sweet tiny infant jesus:

Laura Bush supports gay marriage

...as well as a woman's right to choose.

I'm surprised...shocked...at this. I never would have guessed it, that's for sure. I applaud her honesty, but I also wonder how she'd have reacted, had GWB actually proposed the constitutional amendment that would have named marriage as being between a man and a woman; or if the Supreme Court had become weighted enough to the conservative side, to revisit Roe v. Wade.

Nevertheless, I'm glad for another voice in support of gay marriage.

Starfish - Author Blog on Edwardville

Recently I was invited to contribute a guest author blog at the Edwardville Community on LiveJournal. My post went up today. It's not really about Twilight or fanfic at all - just some random factoids to get to know Starfish a little better. :)

Thanks to the Edwardville community and to YeahYeah143 for asking me to participate!

Friday Free-for-All: The Morning After The Night Before

Today on Twilighted, the Friday Free-for-All post has been written by your humble author. You can find it here!

As promised at the end of the story, here are a couple of pictures to accompany it.

Smith Tower

This is the boy who inspired "Alec" - his name IRL is Ryan Vigilant. HAWT!

The GWiP guy who looks like Dr. Hunt. Tell me I'm wrong!

A good place to start when imagining Edward

And though I almost never insert a "jump" in my posts, the next pic is a b-a-r-e-n-a-k-e-d pic, and NSFK/NSFW:

Jacey Thursday: It's Raining Horses and Camels

Has any model been photographed more often with horses? Like, ever? It's like each one is a movie still. What would the accompanying script say?

He leans over the horse's neck, whispering words of encouragement. "You're going to have to take it from here, Lightning. I need my hands to tie my bowtie."

Looking off-camera, he contemplates how many people - men and women - would be on their knees in a second, mouths open, if he so much as whispered, "I'm horny..."

He stares at the author on the other side of the laptop's screen, willing her panties to explode. They do. Author dies.

He isn't sure what to say about the helmet. Not. At. All.

He smirks, knowing you almost certainly didn't think the author was serious about the camels.
